Hannes Snellman: Legal Separation Completed into Country-Specific Law Firms in Finland and Sweden

Hannes Snellman Attorneys, a leading business law firm operating in Finland and Sweden, announced on 15 February 2024 the strategic reorganization and separation of the group’s operations and ownership into two independent country-specific firms.

The legal separation of the group into two country specific firms in Finland and Sweden, held by the partners in Helsinki and Stockholm, respectively, has now been completed. Transitional arrangements will continue during 2024. The firms will during a transition period continue operating under the same brand.

The separation will not impact the existing client relationships, assignments, or the firms’ operations in their respective areas of expertise. Cooperation between the two separate entities will also continue.

As previously announced, the reason behind the separation is the divergence of the business strategies of Hannes Snellman’s operations in Helsinki and Stockholm. The Helsinki and Stockholm operations are both well-known and strong players in their markets reporting growth in 2023, and the partners expect them to be even stronger as separate entities and focusing on their respective strategies and strengths.
